The Grandstream GWN7721PE is a Layer 2 Lite managed switch designed for SOHO, SMB, and multi-dwelling unit (MDU) network deployments. Its interface configuration consists of eight 2.5 GbE ports with IEEE 802.3af/at PoE+ support and up to 30W output per port, plus one 10 GbE port supporting IEEE 802.3af/at/bt PoE++ with up to 90W output. A separate 10G SFP+ fiber port provides an optical uplink option. The switch delivers an 80 Gbps switching capacity and 40 Gbps nonblocking throughput for multi-gigabit network traffic.
Layer 2 functions include IEEE 802.1Q VLAN tagging, port-based VLAN isolation, multi-layer QoS, and STP/RSTP support. PoE Watchdog, automatic error recovery, loop detection, storm control, and cable testing are also available for network operation and diagnostics. Configuration and monitoring can be handled through the local web GUI, GWN Manager, GDMS cloud management, or the GWN mobile app.
